I liked your site. I went through it quickly and found the information accurate and to the point. I have found that a number (most of them) of people who own horses know very lillte about them. When I train a horse for someone I include a lot of training for that owner also on how to handle their horse so their relationship can continue to grow. i've got 2 things,
1. this is a great site and i loved going through it and i'll be sure to recommend it, but if u could change some of it to suit the english riders out there that would be great. for one...the if you post you are not rising from the sturrips, and if it had to be one of the answers to that quiz, the horse bounces you up would be a better way to describe it.
2. as i kinda mentioned up there, if you could make this site with some english terms and things like that the newer riders (not like me) who are riding english have a chance to look at some english stuff along the way so everyhitng would be recognisable when they go for their first ride.

i signed this earlier and forgot something lol its about the english posting i got grand champion english last year and i worked for a month cuz my horse went lame then i got another horse after they said i could switch so after 3 weeks (he had to be gelded) of workin him, i went to fair i posted and hour a day without irrons you know how in shape i was?! you should be able to feel the horse "bounce" you up out of the saddle please change that answer you are to use leg muscle NOT your irons if u use ur irons then ur legs arent as quiet looking as they would be if you didnt use them u SHOULD use ur legs ask a jude that question and they SHOULD tell you that u should use ur legs sorry had to get my 2 cents worth lol

Great site, I'll add a bookmark to it on my website. I have one complaint, in the quiz on horse gaits the accepted answer was the one about using the stirrup. In actuality you let the horse's motion push you up (that was another option given), this gives you better timing in you post which is then not as artificial. It is also more work for the rider. Using the stirrups too much when posting can cause the leg to swing back and forth too much - posting can be done without stirrups after all. Another related comment: posting doesn't have to be extremely obvious, it isn't necessary to go waaay up in the air which encourages one to bump down on the horse's back. Inexperienced student instructors at my college seem to encourage larger posts than is necessary because anything less is hard for them to see.
