LocationCanada Commentsi've got 2 things, 1. this is a great site and i loved going through it and i'll be sure to recommend it, but if u could change some of it to suit the english riders out there that would be great. for one...the if you post you are not rising from the sturrips, and if it had to be one of the answers to that quiz, the horse bounces you up would be a better way to describe it. 2. as i kinda mentioned up there, if you could make this site with some english terms and things like that the newer riders (not like me) who are riding english have a chance to look at some english stuff along the way so everyhitng would be recognisable when they go for their first ride. LocationUK Commentsgood site, good fun and quite informative LocationUK Commentsgood site, good fun and quite informative LocationIllinois CommentsGreat site. But in 1 of your questions about posting it said you should push up from the stirrups, this is incorect the motion of the horse should push you up...using the horses motion allows you to maintain leg contact on your horse makeing your legs and feet appear motionless....which intern makes your cues less noticable. Most of the time you really didn't need to read about whatever it was you were supposed to be reading, all you had to do was answer the questions. It was fun and entertainment for me. I will tell all of my friends that have the internet about this cool website.:) Locationnew york CommentsI thought that it was fun and pretty basic. Most of the time you really didn't need to read about whatever it was you were supposed to be reading, all you had to do was answer the questions. It was fun and entertainment for me. I will tell all of my friends that have the internet about this cool website.:) LocationVirginia USA CommentsGreat site, I'll add a bookmark to it on my website. I have one complaint, in the quiz on horse gaits the accepted answer was the one about using the stirrup. In actuality you let the horse's motion push you up (that was another option given), this gives you better timing in you post which is then not as artificial. It is also more work for the rider. Using the stirrups too much when posting can cause the leg to swing back and forth too much - posting can be done without stirrups after all. Another related comment: posting doesn't have to be extremely obvious, it isn't necessary to go waaay up in the air which encourages one to bump down on the horse's back. Inexperienced student instructors at my college seem to encourage larger posts than is necessary because anything less is hard for them to see.
